Re Brand Progress - Blog Banners

I know the layout of my blog isn't the most important thing to be worrying about but I thought it would be a good place to start testing things out as not many people will see it.

This was my previous banner, which I liked at the time, but now think that it isn't communicating how my style has developed.

This screen shot shows the colour scheme used and the font choices and sizes. I liked it at the time, but looking back I regret this!

These are my new experiments with banner layout, based on the other branding things I have designed.

This is the style I decided on, so the next step was the alter the template of the blog, making sure the fonts used and colour scheme matched the banner design.

Final Blog Layout

I am actually quite happy with this design, but I will probably end up disliking it the longer I look at it, just like everything else! I've altered literally everything I could, to make a lot cleaner and tidier layout. I think it will actually make things easier to read and find.

I like how when you hover over a link, the tab turns black, and the text turns white. I think simple things like this, rather than using coloured links, look a lot more sophisticated.

Also tidied up the labels bit to make it easier to find older posts!
