Based on what I have learnt through looking at business studies books, I have made a list of things I think we need to discuss as a group at our next meeting to help us progress. The most important thing is to start with a good idea, so I've also included some of my initial ideas for what could make our business unique.

Research - companies we admire, looking at how they work as a business; business studies basics

1. Decide on idea, all agree - write detailed account of this idea, have to really know what it is, be specific
2. Decide what makes our idea special
3. Think about the competition - SWOT analysis
4. Market research - primary - analyse this, does it mean we need to change our idea?
5. Need to decide on company name and create a logo and look for the company that represents who we are
6. How much will we charge?
7. Where would we get the money from to start up a business?
8. Where would we be located?
9. How would we draw in customers? - social media, advertising, etc...
10. Create a business plan
11. Decide on a mission statement - what are our aims and values?
12. What type of business would we be?
13. Decide on objectives and create strategies to achieve these.
14. How would we deal with legal responsibilities?
15. Think about out presentation, and visual aids we can create. Extra touches to prove we are the best business!
Initial Ideas for USP
- 24 hr Graphic Design
- Graphic design on to specialised goods e.g. homeward or unusual surfaces
- Custom made fonts to suit someones personality/what a business is about
- Personalised products/gifts - you supply us with photographs and tell us what you want and we do it
