Not long after setting up a behance, I received this email from a design book company in Beijing, asking for me to send images of my work, for the chance to appear in a new book they are creating. As an opportunity like this has never happened to me before, I was both excited about the prospect and confused about whether this was real or not. As the company is in Beijing, it took a bit of research to find out more about the company. I decided I would send off some images of my work, as this is the first time I've done anything like this. In future, I would ask for money for my work, or some sort of contact agreement.
Here is what I wrote about my works. Hopefully, if they are chosen, it will be a good thing for me to put on my CV.
The images I submitted for the book:
I was unsure about whether I could include pages that contained the font I downloaded, as it only said free for personal use. As I haven't really done 'live' work before, I am still confused by this stuff, so decided to settle on images with only my work on, as due to the deadline, I didn't have time to contact anyone about this.
I then sent my work off, and received a reply to say that they had got the images, but am yet to hear anything else. I'm not getting my hopes up that my images will be chosen, but the fact that they contacted me because they liked me work is a compliment. Maybe even if I don't hear anything for a while something good will come from this!
Update..
