Enterprise & Innovation... Value - What are you worth?

Recommended Website:  business-survival-toolkit

- Value of creativity - innovation and entrepreneruship (Drucker)
- (Mihaly) Seeing things around us that everyone sees and making connections no one else has made, as we do not all see in the same way. We can help others to see things they don't notice

- (Kotler) Create, communicate, deliver, value, target market, profit
1. Product management - find the best ideas anywhere they come from (collaborate)
2. Brand management - what you're all about, a promise
3. Customer management - co-create with customers, want their help

- We need an insight in to what makes people tick.
- We are sociable animals who need to get along to survive, because of this their is hiearchy. We have status symbols to show who is senior in our society.
- We have spiritual needs, we need to constantly challenge ourself on a personal journey

- Masion's hierarchy of need:

1. Physiological (biggest need)
2. Safety
3. Love/ Belonging
4. Esteem (achievement)    - Only when these four are in place can we indulge in self-actualization
5. Self-actualization

- If you understand what peoples motivations are you can design to their needs, as design is applied psychology
- Keep telling people why you are useful as people are trying to cut back
- Stay interesting
- The money is where the human needs are (the physiological needs)

What is a value proposition?

- How your product solves a customers problem and benefits them. Don't use technical language as customers won't understand it. Need to get inside customer's heads and 'interview' them. Keep it short, just a sentence for each part.

1. Overall aim - missions
2. Specific aims - outcomes
3. Objectives - outputs (something specific you're going to do to make it happen)
